๐ DAILY BIAS
๐ด BEARISH
Gold is under the 20-day, 100-day, and 200-day SMAs on the daily chart. Price is clinging to $4,000 by its fingernails, down 11% this month and set for its worst quarter since 2013. DXY is up 2% in June and grinding higher on hawkish Fed expectations.
๐ฅ BREAKOUT WATCH
Eyes on $4,063 - that's today's session high and the first real resistance on the daily chart. Bulls need a clean close above that to stop the bleeding. Reclaim it with volume and $4,100 opens up. Right now, sellers are defending it hard.
๐ PULLBACK WATCH
$3,960 is the next major daily support below the $4,000 line. Lose $4,000 on a closing basis and $3,960 gets tested fast. Below that, $3,900 is the last meaningful floor before open air.
๐ฐ WHAT'S MOVING GOLD TODAY
Gold dropped to $3,942 intraday before bouncing back above $4,000. The DXY is at 101.3, on track for a second straight monthly gain, driven by hawkish Fed bets and a weak yen. Easing Middle East tensions are killing the safe-haven bid - US and Iran are back at the table in Doha, pulling crude and gold lower together.
โ ๏ธ WHAT TO WATCH TOMORROW
Warsh speaks at the ECB Sintra forum Wednesday at 9:30am ET. Any hawkish tone on inflation or balance sheet reduction kills the $4,000 bounce instantly. Watch his exact language - he doesn't give forward guidance, which means markets will dissect every word.
