๐ DAILY BIAS
๐ด BEARISH
Gold is bouncing off eight-month lows but the daily trend is still down. DXY is grinding above 101, core inflation sits at 4.2%, and markets are pricing a Fed hike as early as September. Today's +$12 move is a relief rally, not a reversal.
๐ฅ BREAKOUT WATCH
Eyes on $4,095. That's the first real resistance on the daily chart and bulls have failed there multiple times. Clean break above that level with volume and $4,150 opens up fast. Right now, sellers are sitting on every push toward that zone.
๐ PULLBACK WATCH
$3,980 is the floor. Bulls need to defend it hard. Lose that level and $3,951 is next, and this consolidation unravels fast. NFP tomorrow is the trigger - a hot number sends price straight back to test it.
๐ฐ WHAT'S MOVING GOLD TODAY
Fed Chair Warsh spoke at the ECB forum in Sintra and acknowledged inflation risks are easing - gold caught a bid immediately. ADP came in at 98k jobs in June, softer than expected, which took some steam out of the dollar. But Warsh kept his hawkish guard up and reaffirmed the 2% inflation target, so the relief rally has a ceiling.
โ ๏ธ WHAT TO WATCH TOMORROW
NFP drops Thursday morning. That's the single biggest number of the week. Analysts expect another solid print given JOLTS just hit a two-year high on job openings. A number above 180k and the Fed hike trade is back on - dollar spikes, gold gets sold hard. Watch the $3,980 floor in pre-market.
๐ ECONOMIC CALENDAR
July 2 - Nonfarm Payrolls + US Unemployment Rate (high-impact, pre-market). July 3 - US markets closed for Independence Day. NFP is the last major macro event before the long weekend - expect a violent move in one direction.
