๐ DAILY BIAS
๐ก NEUTRAL
Gold is bouncing off the lows but stuck below the 50-day SMA at $4,392. The Death Cross is still active on the daily chart, keeping the broader trend bearish. Price is holding above $4,128 for now, but the structure is fragile.
๐ฅ BREAKOUT WATCH
$4,210 is the wall. That level has capped every rally attempt this week and sellers are stacked right there. Clean break above it and $4,300 opens up fast. Buyers need a daily close above $4,210 - intraday pokes don't count.
๐ PULLBACK WATCH
$4,050 is the floor that matters on the daily chart. Bulls need to defend it or this bounce is finished. Lose that level and $3,963 is back in play fast.
๐ฐ WHAT'S MOVING GOLD TODAY
June NFP came in at 57,000 against a 110,000 forecast - the weakest print in four months. That slashed Fed rate hike odds from 66% to 50% in one session and sent the dollar to a three-week low. Gold caught a bid but is now digesting the move, pulling back slightly as the dollar steadies around 100.85.
โ ๏ธ WHAT TO WATCH TOMORROW
ADP Employment Change hits Tuesday morning. A weak number confirms the NFP story and gold breaks $4,210. A strong number puts the Fed back in play and $4,050 gets tested fast. This is the number that sets the tone for the FOMC minutes Wednesday.
๐ ECONOMIC CALENDAR
Tuesday July 7: ADP Employment Change - high impact, watch for confirmation of the NFP miss. Wednesday July 8: FOMC Meeting Minutes - this is the week's biggest risk event for gold. A hawkish tone from Warsh kills the rate-hike repricing that drove gold's recovery.
